If you are considering replacing missing or damaged teeth but are concerned about the pain afterwards. You must not fear! Most patients will tell you that the pain is minimal. The biggest benefit is getting permanent teeth and you are able to chew and smile with confidence again. The other huge benefit to Dental Implants is that there is very little maintenance as is the case with dentures. With Dental Implants in this new era you heal faster than in the past and the majority of our patients are surprised at how little pain they feel. If the procedure is complex you might get some soreness or inflammation but that can be managed with the proper pain killers. We have found it to be very uncommon for a patient to require a Narcotic type medication after placement of a Dental Implant.
